Lack of sleep due to being woken up in the middle of the night with severe gas pains/IBS, and pain radiating down the leg to the toes. I did everything to relieve it. Finally, I fell asleep again around 2:30, but resulted in about 5 hours and 47 minutes of sleep. (As a result, kept dosing off today, and am irritable.) Today, went to the pharmacy and grabbed beano, peppermint supplement, melatonin, and more Miralax. Also, I'm thinking the gluten-free strawberry-rubarb pie did not agree with me, it may have had glutens or a grain in it that I can't digest. It's hard to know with gluten free items sometimes.

I'm thinking my IBS is inflammatory IBS. I've had IBS my entire life.

Mother called to let me know that niece has taken a job in Whiskeytown National Park in California, that specializes in wildfire recovery efforts. Niece is interested in working in the recovery of wildfires or aiding in wildfire efforts.

29.It seems Pete Buttigieg is almost definitely running for President in 2028. (given his launch of a new Substack and his announcement that he won’t run for senate in 2026.) [I just hope we still have elections - the GOP is trying to do away with them.]

30.The US clean electricity transition continued as wind and solar generated more than coal for the first time in 2024. Electricity demand growth sped up and solar generation rose more quickly than gas to help meet it.

31.Russia and Ukraine agree to Black Sea ceasefire, Trump administration says. The White House said that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea and to ban attacks on energy facilities, an apparent breakthrough after U.S. negotiators held separate talks with both countries. Putin has yet to keep his word on anything, so FWIW.

33. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to be fired over using a group Signal chat to discuss war plans.

[Yes, people have been joking about the Republicans condemning Hillary for her emails. Some in direct response to Hillary Clinton's shock and dismay over the leak. What makes it even more insane? Trump revoked the Clintons, Biden, Harris and Obama security clearance.)

He wasn't alone, Senator Mark Kelly also reamed the Defense Secretary.



34.The Alaska Current reported that town hall event attendees in the state slammed Trump for his attacks on longtime allies such as Canada while at the same time taking a more friendly approach to traditional adversaries such as Russia. Go HERE.

35.Bernie Saunders & AOC's Anti-Ogliarchy Tour Rallies are rapidly becoming a mass movement. Go Here. "It’s not just that the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour has energized ordinary Americans and spread a resonant anti-billionaire, pro-democracy message. These events also have had a concrete strategic focus, as one of Bernie’s advisors explained online: “For those asking, yes these [rallies] are tied to action. All have been in or near GOP-held swing districts and we are following up with specific actions to pressure their Member to vote NO on any Medicaid cuts or billionaire tax breaks — or else face electoral consequences.”

That was quick alright. I remember commenting to my partner when news of the defacing of them surfaced that insurance was going to become a problem.
