Wrote a post about work and deleted it.

In comparison to last year? Work actually isn't that bad. The clique is less evident or less in my face, and I can ignore it. And BYT - I'm getting along with for a change of pace. We do have our issues from time to time.

Mother is getting her COVID shot tomorrow, and hopes for no side-effects. I think it's her sixth? I've had four, and will get my fifth in November with the flu shot like I did last year. Because I couldn't get the COVID in October as planned (Shingles). The Shingles shot - I'll get in December or January. I have to wait until the Shingles are completely gone. They are getting there - the scabs are gone and now I have white bumpy healing scars on my arm and shoulder - nothing major. I dodged a bullet.

Last night watched a lot of episodes of Spy X Family on Hulu. At one point I wondered if the writers forgot that the little girl had telepathy, because she was acting as if she didn't have it for the space of three-four episodes. Then wham she did again. Inconsistent writing there. It's good but flawed.

I like the animation for the most part - although the animators draw children oddly. Big eyes, and short little squat bodies. Everyone seems to be the same height. The Big Eyes is however due to the Japanese fetish for White European facial features. Anime - has a lot of it. They also like blonds. And redheads in anime.

I find the show entertaining and comforting. Although the female characters occasionally grate, for the most part I like them. I really like Twilight.

Should I feel guilty for liking morally compromised characters? No. But the internet has made me feel it at times. The internet is kind of judgemental and opinionated and there are days that I honestly think I enjoyed television and books more without it. I was at times happier when I was unaware or oblivious to other people's opinions.

It has however taught me something? While we are all entitled to our own opinions on a wide and endless range of subjects, I'm not entirely sure we should share them?

I hope your mom's vaccine shot goes smoothly and she has minimal side effects! Also good news about your shingles calming down.

I get so confused people getting judgmental over others liking villain/morally dubious characters who even good characters who slip up. Liking a fictional character who does questionable things doesn't lead to approving of them in real life, which seems easy to understand but clearly isn't. It reminds me of people blaming video games for real life violence. Besides, if all characters were good and didn't do anything wrong, there's be no story or at least not a very interesting one.
