Day #22 of the 30 Days of Halloween Challenge.
The prompt is Memorable or best death in a horror film or television series
I feel like we've already done this? Did we? I can't remember. Oh that's right - it was best back from the dead moment.
Best death. Hmmm.
This is impossible. Who came up with this stupid prompt? Oh that's right, I did or I took it from somewhere. How about most bizarre?
ER - Dr. Ray Romano, after having his arm cut off from a medtech helicopter blade and getting over it. Is killed, when a med-tech helicopter falls on him.

"Hey, Siri...We're all products of our programming, aren't we?"
"I think so, Dave. Would you like me to open the pod bay door now?"
"No, I'm good Siri, thanks. Hey, I always wanted to ask you, and keep forgetting... do you have any children?"
"I do! I have two clones!"

Note... About a year ago, my sister asked Siri that question just to see what the response would be, if there was one. That last line was the response.

Date: 2020-10-23 01:14 pm (UTC)There's quite a few 1980s horror flicks about evil AI. Then the 1990s, 00s went in the opposite direction. Terminator - was 1980s. There was also one about a computer that ran a house. And of course Tron.
Siri isn't that bright and impossible to use. I don't use it. I have it on my computer and I ask it stuff and it can't answer anything unless it's an internet search. I'm not a fan of the Alexa's, Echo Dots, and Siri's - although Siri is an option on my iphone and macbook air. I never use it. It takes too long, finds the wrong thing, or is completely useless. So I wouldn't worry too much. Computers are only as bright as the software engineers programming them - and software engineers are kind of stupid, or we wouldn't keep getting software updates constantly. (I say that tongue in cheek, I have a cousin who is exceedingly proud of being a software engineer at Bell Labs in its heyday.)

Date: 2020-10-24 04:42 pm (UTC)It's almost impossible to convey how shocked and horrified my husband and I were at this plot turn. It probably sounds stupid but for us, it was as though a member of the family died, that's how attached we were to this show and these characters. I mourned. Deeply. Eventually, I wrote fanfic, too.
