Tomorrow night is the Oscars, I'll probably skip it or tape it and just watch fast-forwarding throughout.

Below, for what it's worth are my predictions for the major categories. The field is a bit harder to predict this year.

1. Best Actor

Who will win: Leonardo Di Caprio - and to be fair he did make that movie work. It wouldn't have worked without him.

Who should win: Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, who made me forget I was watching Michael Fassbender. He was that good. And he's the only one that I saw that made me forget, the whole time I was watching The Revenant, The Martian, The Danish Girl and Trumbo, I was achingly aware of the actor that I was watching on screen - they were brilliant, but I saw the ticks and mannerisms present.

2. Best Actress

Who will win: Brie Lawson - Room

Who wasn't nominated and should have won - Charlize Theron, Mad Max - Fury Road as Imperosa.
(I admittedly haven't seen Room. I didn't like Carol or Joy, and haven't seen Brooklyn or 45 years)

3. Best Supporting Actor

Who will win: Sylvestor Stallon - Creed

Who should win: Christian Bale - The Big Short, who was close to unrecognizable.

4. Best Supporting Actress

Who will Win: Alicia Vikander for The Danish Girl

Who Should Win: Kate Winslet - Steve Jobs, she's unrecognizable in the film and the only one who was. Rooney Mara is a close second.

5. Best Director

Who will win: Alejandro G. Inarrito for The Revenant

Who should win: Adam McKay for The Big Short

6. Best Picture

Who Will Win - The Revenant

Who Should Win - The Big Short (which will be remembered longer for it's uniqueness. The Revenant is your basic by the numbers Hollywood film...which everyone has seen before, yet great cinematography. The Big Short? I've not seen done before in quite that way.)

I have to see The Big Short! I also didn't see all the movies (It's kinda impossible to do that, right?)

I agree almost on everything: Fassbender and Theron deserves those damn statues but they won't get them. Although poor Leo slept inside a horse, so I guess he deserves a recognition.

But I do think they're gonna pick Winslet over Vikander. Huh-huh.

Also Oscar Isaacs is really great at acting (Like, in Ex-Machina it felt like watching a completely different person from, I don't know, Star Wars or Agora. He's also able to make me forget I'm watching him, much as Fassbender)

I know Leo will win it - because he suffered the most and the Academy always gives the statue to the actor who suffered the most.

The Big Short may beat out The Revenant as best picture, but I'm not certain. Spotlight might too. That race is up in the air.

Not sure about the Best Supporting Actress race. But Stallon will definitely get Best Supporting Actor. You're right about Hardy he was unrecognizable and brilliant in The Revenant, I just didn't like the movie that much. ;-)

Haven't seen about three or four of them: Room, Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, and Creed.

I've actually watched both Mad Max and Room, and I got to tell you, much as I loved Mad Max: Fury Road, and by all accounts, as a movie it was awesome, Brie Larson was better than Charlize Theron was.

She and Jacob Tremblay (who should be getting an oscar for his part in the movie as well) were plain out amazing.

That's not to say that Theron shouldn't have been nominated, she was great as Furiosa, but Brie's acting in Room was breathtaking.

I haven't seen Room yet, my actress friend who has been supplying me with the films -- hasn't gotten that one back yet.
Personally, I think Theron should have gotten the nod over Cate Blanchett...but that's mainly because I didn't like the film Carol.
