this post is kinda getting lost in the 9/11 postage...but I thought I would just say, I watch a lot of the same TV as you...but I'm not looking forward to the new season with any particular glee (I'm often late finding new shows because I always expect them to suck. And didn't you think 'Standoff' really did!?!).
I have to say that I wonder that even an urbane New Yorker wouldn't recognize the characters in 'Little Miss Sunshine'. I've lived mostly in suburbs and cities and I was that child, I was that sullen teen, and I am rapidly turning into the crazy old man (my adult years have been bouncing back and forth from the placating Toni Collet character, her 'trying-too-hard' husband, and the defeated professor of Proust). Basically I felt that everyone on that bus was me.
