Day 243 of Lockdown/Corona Virus
Nov. 27th, 2020 08:50 pmDidn't do too much today. Watched television, ate left-overs, took out trash, talked to mother, and walked around Greenwood Cemetery. Also exchanged texts with Wales and posts with folks on FB.
Did finally cave and bought an aerogarden on Aerogarden site, for about 40% off. It said 80 %, but I'm uncertain that's true. At any rate I shaved off about $130 or so off the listed price, and free shipping. I bought the heirloom lettuce package as rec'd by my brother. I'm trying stress-free winter gardening in my apartment. If it works, I may by another. I kind of live off of salad greens. Yes, it's official, I'm a human rabbit.
Living in NYC requires creativity in regards to furniture and other items, particularly if you are renting. I miss the furniture I had in Kansas apartments, which I looted from my parents. That was the best furniture and wall decor that I've had. They, of course, took it all back when they returned to Kansas, and subsequently moved to Hilton Head. And by which time, I'd moved to NYC and couldn't take any of it with me. This was back in 1996. Since then, I've been gradually upgrading.
Here's a picture from my walk - the foliage in NYC is amazing. Dark wood against vibrant colors here and there.

DW is weird with picture or image posting. I can see some of my lists' photos but not others. There is a pattern however - I can see the photos from the friends who can see mine, but not the photos from the friends who can't see mine. Wacky.
Everyone was wearing masks outside, okay, almost everyone. I saw two bozos without. But even the dumb kids racing their bikes at top speed down the sidewalk were wearing them now. So, progress. This is why my neighborhood is not in a hot zone at the moment. This is why we're okay.
