[Eh, doesn't really tell us anything most of us do not already know from various interviews and Q&A's but still.]
In the City of Angels, the sun is shining brightly on Good Friday. But beyond a heavy black door, away from harsh light, vampires, demons, and a rogue demon hunter or two gather in the darkness of an abandoned warehouse.
Okay, so the Hollywood studio that’s serving as the location for EW’s Angel reunion shoot isn’t actually a warehouse, nor a meeting place for the undead. Rather, the cast of the WB drama is very human, and expressing very human levels of excitement at being together again, 20 years after their show debuted.
“It’s good to see everybody!” says David Boreanaz, 50, the show’s titular vampire who, upon arrival, immediately makes a beeline for the dressing room to find his costars. Spotting Charisma Carpenter (shallow cheerleader-turned-champion Cordelia) and Amy Acker (shy Texan physicist Winifred “Fred” Burkle) in makeup chairs, he plops himself on the counter and sits, legs swinging giddily, catching up with them while they’re curled and coiffed. “Look at that smile,” he says, gesturing to Carpenter with affection. “We just picked up where we were last time we talked to each other.” Speaking of picking up, Acker, 42, enjoyed the series’ experience so much, she has already declared she’d be ready for a revival, which would be season 6. “Every show should be this fun,” she says. “We were so spoiled.”
And..
That’s not to say grown-up Angel didn’t have its share of teething problems. When the network saw the script for episode two, they balked. “They completely freaked out and they were right because in our effort to go dark, we went a little too dark,” says Greenwalt of a scene in which Angel lets a girl die and then licks her blood up off the ground. “If you’re gonna go that dark, you have to earn it. So, we shut down for a few weeks, revamped some things and we were off and running.”
2. And...guess what? Disney worried that it is not quite making ENOUGH money off of Avenger's Endgame is... Re-Releasing Avengers Endgame on June 28th...and apparently within days. It's being re-released June 28th.
In an interview with Screen Rant during the Spider-Man: Far From Home junket, Feige confirmed Endgame will be re-released on June 28. While it isn't an extended cut of the 3-hour epic, it will have extra surprises for people who stick around:
Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.
I don't know about anyone else? But it's still in the theaters near me.
Why?
The timing of this re-release makes a lot of sense. Endgame re-opens just a few days prior to Far From Home's premiere, giving fans the opportunity to rewatch Endgame before catching up with Peter Parker on his next solo adventure. Those two movies are linked; Far From Home marketing has made it very clear Peter is still mourning the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark, and has to rise up to the challenge of becoming "the next Iron Man" to keep Earth safe. With that in mind, Endgame and Far From Home should make for a compelling double feature, as they work together to close out Phase 3. As for the "new things" after the credits, it sounds like they will essentially be Blu-ray bonus features on the big screen. Endgame's home media release will undoubtedly include deleted scenes and fun surprises. It'll be interesting to see if the tribute is for the late Stan Lee, who passed away in November 2018.
As of this writing, Endgame is about $45 million away from matching Avatar's record. The re-release will help close that gap somewhat, but it still might not be enough to make Endgame the king of the box office world. Die-hard fans of the MCU will definitely want to check Endgame out again, but there may not be incentive for general audiences - especially since Toy Story 4 will be the blockbuster of the moment and Far From Home is on the horizon. Coincidentally, Avatar had a re-release of its own, which tallied $10.7 million domestically. That's barely a blip on the radar compared to its overall total, so Endgame may still be a close second when it's all said and done.
Apparently making $2.4 billion isn't enough, we have to make the record books too, and kill Dark Phoenix dead and kick it out of the theaters.
Oh, and apparently we need to make the movie LONGER. It's 3 and a half hours with the previews and credits. But you didn't have to watch the credits before. Now they are adding 30 minutes of material to the 30 minutes of credits -- so...we have a four and a half hour movie???
You know you can also wait until it comes out on Blue-Ray or on On-Demand or Disney Plus? (Shhh...don't tell Disney.)

4. A Previously Unseen Video of Freddie Mercury singing Time Waits for Nobody is released...annoying CBS This Morning talks over it.
5. And I keep finding cool and weird fannish stuff...these are podcasts. I'm not into them, because I get bored listening to things. It may have to do with the fact that from the moment I leave my apartment in the morning to the moment I re-enter it at night -- I'm immersed in non-stop chatter of some sort. So when I get home, I like tv, books, reading -- visuals. But can't just listen to chatter -- unless it's my mother on the phone or Wales, and I have no choice.
